Thanks to Mike and MerryLynn Denny of College Place, we were able to take photos of a snowy owl and some barn owls in their area. They told us how to find the snowy and led us to the barn owls.

I've also posted photos from the "sparrow patch" on the Poppoff Trail in Union Gap. Unfortunately, the oddball sparrowswe found during the Christmas Bird Count did not come out to play, so no fox sparrow, Harris's sparrow or white-chin. Maybe next time.

There are a few photos from the Yakima and Toppenish Bird Counts, including a sunrise shot of a red-tailed hawk and of Mt. Adams. I hope you enjoy them.
