They may not be in large numbers (100+), but there are still AMRO's everywhere in Seattle that I go. I live in Wallingford - some this morning. Walked to the UW - there was one in a tree right outside the Odegaard Library. I go to the Montlake Fill - there are usually at least a dozen or so in the area, if not more. Same with Carkeek and Discovery Parks, and even Woodland Park. Heck, up on Capital Hill, they are everywhere, just spread out. If you're not seeing AMRO's, you're not paying attention (most of them don't seem to be vocalizing much, but they ARE there). The one thing I look at as to why we aren't seeing some of the huge mobbing-type flocks is that it seems to have been a rather poor year for Pacific Madrone fruit (someone will shut me down on this, but it is what I seem to be seeing). When Madrone's bear heavily in fruit, that is when the 4-500 AMRO flocks are most visible and noisy. JMO. Good birding!

Well, about 100 were down at Pritchard Beach on Monday afternoon, hanging out in the big cottonwoods just south of S. Cloverdale Street.
