Hi Tweets -
I birded over on Vashon Island [King Co] today and was happy to
relocate one of the Red Phalaropes previously mentioned on Tweeters.
The Phalarope was swimming in Quartermaster Harbor, south of Burton.
I viewed it [with a scope] from a roadside pulloff on Vashon Hwy,
about a mile north of the Shawnee Rd. intersection. It was swimming
quite a ways south of this pulloff, but I couldn't find closer access
that allowed good views.

Other birds seen today included
3 loon species - 13 Pacific only at Point Robinson, most of the
Red-throated in Quartermaster Harbor, Common scattered about.
10+ Common Murre - a good number considering how rare they've been
this year. Most were seen from Point Robinson, but they were also
flying by on the ferry ride back to West Seattle.
All 3 Cormorants at the Talequah Ferry dock

No luck on Ancient Murrelets, Shearwaters or other enticing recent
Puget Sound visitors.
