Subject: [Tweeters] Spooky Robins today

I went for a hike in Lord Hill Park, Snohomish County today. It was eerily
quiet, almost no birds sang, cheeped or twittered. As I was heading down the
Temple Pond trail, motion caught my eye. In a rather dark place, where
several douglas firs were close together, about 30 or more robins were
perched. They did not move, they did not make any noise. It was kind of like
the birds movie, very spooky and quiet. This was at about 1:30 in the
afternoon and it was not particularly cold, and overcast but not raining. I
have never experienced robins to 1. hang out in such a dark place and 2.
actually perch quietly. It was like they were all at a funeral or
something.....
