Howdy,

I don't know about blackbirds, but I have eaten European Starlings, and
they taste nothing like chicken. Actually chicken doesn't taste much like
chicken these days, but thats a rant for a different day.

European Starlings are quite small when plucked, but skinning them is
quicker, and doesn't make them taste any better or worse. Although they are
OK fried, I have had soups made of them that were downright tasty. Your
doctor would probably tell you that fried starling isn't particulalrly
healthy anyways. If he would talk to you at all after you told him what
you'd been consuming.
