Subject: [Tweeters] West 90 food supply

Tweets - a few days ago there was a discussion of just what all of the
raptors were eating up at the West 90 in the Samish.

On Tuesday, when Matt Bartels and I were unsuccessfully looking for the
Gyrfalcon, I nearly stepped on a deceased rodent right next to my car.

It appears to be a Townsend's Vole, though I am not an expert on rodent ID.
The body is about 4.5" long with an additional 2.5" of tail. It must be
about 1.5" in diameter. Weight: 50 grams. That makes a sizable treat for a
Harrier, I would think.
