you would have liked today at edmonds... i got there about 1500, just as
the last squall of curtain rain was finishing and the sun was starting to
come out, and stayed until traffic was snarly nasty (and thunderstorms were
on the eastern horizon)... red-breasted mergansers were all over the place,
many in close enough to photograph nicely, and one particularly interesting
greylag goose had set up ownership of the landing beach...

i hit the quadfecta on grebes: western, clark's, eared, and horned... if
i'd known i could get these all in one day, i would have started out earlier
and visited seacrest and juanita bay for the pied-bills and the red-necks
:)
