Greetings All

A Bewick's Swan, apparently a different bird from the one on Fir I., was on
the Samish Flats along Allen West Rd between Thomas and Chuckanut. It was in a
large (several hundred swans) flock of mixed Trumps and Tundras, with Trumps
predominating.

The bird appeared to have a bit more yellow on the face than the Fir I. bird.
It also appeared smaller than any of the Whistling Swans about, whereas the
Fir I. bird was within range of the Whistlers it was accompanying.

We had a Common x GW Teal hybrid in the impoundment along Padilla Bay between
Bayview and the Samish Flats. The Gyr was at the west 90, and finally, there
were 122 Eared Grebes on Birch Bay.

Cheers
SteveM
