Saturday, February 5, 2:30 PM - Hi, this is Steven Mlodinov. Cameron
Cox, Jesse Berry and I had a BEWICK'S SWAN, apparently a different
bird. This was the one on the Samish Flats on Allen West Road, between
Thomas and Chuckanut in a large, mixed flock of TRUMPETER and TUNDRA
SWANS. Notably, this was clearly the smallest bird in the flock,
probably about ten percent or so smaller than even the TUNDRA with a
somewhat thicker neck. The GYRFALCON was also at the West 90. Good luck
and good birding.

Saturday, February 5, 5:44 PM - Hi, this is Tom Aversa. Today I was
birding up north of Samish Island, the Samish Flats, that area. I had
six or seven BARN SWALLOWS. Also saw that GYRFALCON again on the flats
and not as reported from the other day. I thought that bird was a
juvenile, but I saw it better today and it looks more like a sub-adult.
Thanks.
