Dino Rossi has a squad, the Squab Squad, looking into this.)
I have seen pigeons on state ferries several times. One time I observed a
bird hit a young woman full in the face when she stepped into a doorway
through which a pigeon was flying. This happened as the ferry was loading
at the Seattle dock with many people were moving about. The bird seemed
quite at home till the encounter with the unfortunate woman. She let out a
loud shriek which sent the bird flying into several windows and a fair
amount of white wash was deposited in and about the cabin before the bird
recovered its composure. One could say the woman was set upon by a rogue
squab. Gotta watch those rogue squabs.
Perhaps Dino and the GOP could launch a program to reintroduce food service
on the ferries. Think how much money could be made serving Plymouth Rock
Squab and pigeon pie.
