To add to Bob Flores' spring migration theme, there were 300+ GREATER SCAUP
in Juanita Bay this morning. Also spotted, a RED-THROATED LOON. There had
been one in the Bay for over a month in November, but no sightings since
early December.

Besides the many singing birds (BROWN CREEPER, RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET, et al),
another highlight was the fly-over of a calling COMMON RAVEN, only the
second record for the Park. I keep checking the trees and bushes, wishing
for a bright warbler to pop out, but the best I've been able to come up with
are a few very dull Yellow-rumps.and they've been here all winter. Oh well,
it IS still February.
