Today Elaine and I made a quick check for Sandhill Cranes knowing that the south wind might bring a few in. We didn't find any west of Othello before noon, but did locate 5+ American Tree Sparrows and a Golden Eagle along Corfu Road, 12 miles west of town and south of SR 26. Also a Loggerhead Shrike 2 miles west of the Adams-Grant County line along Lower Crab Creek Road.

The redpolls disappeared for 2 day at the Refuge office (735 E Main St) but reappeared yesterday at 1:30 pm according to our Admin Officer.
