Tweets - it was a beautiful, clear, frosty (21 degrees at the start) morning
today, with no wind. Mt. Rainier glowed to the south. It didn't really
matter that the birding was kind of slow, because it was so nice to be
outside on such a morning. This is the quietest time of the year at
Marymoor, so I wasn't expecting much in the way of interesting birds. Our
species count was low (46), but we did eventually have some nice birds:

Bald Eagle Adult at lake
Peregrine Falcon Flew N then SE over E. Meadow
Wilson's Snipe 3 at Rowing Club
R.breasted Sapsucker 2 south of mansion, interacting
Brown Creeper 2 east of mansion
Lincoln's Sparrow Nice looks - E. Meadow, windmill

And even given the freezing temps, spring is in the air.

Mallard Copulating near the weir
Bufflehead Pair seen doing the head-bobbing thing
Red-tailed Hawk One seen visiting odd-snag nest again
Steller's Jay Unusually active and noisy
Ruby-crowned Kinglet One singing, some red crests showing
Spotted Towhee Males on exposed perches everywhere
Dark-eyed Juncos Singing away (had to relearn their songs)
Western Meadowlark Stunning male singing in East Meadow
House Finch Singing
