mudflats visible
12:10 end

Tweeters,
Some white clouds to the south, but clear skies, cool north wind, and a
good day for a vitamin D fix here at Turning Basin #3. Two
GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULLS appeared to be doing a courtship display atop a
nearby building. Lots of movement and bill-touching. The first AMERICAN
ROBIN I've seen here this year was in the blackberry/butterfly bush
understory, then flew to the top of the chain-link fence near my viewing
spot; a nicely colored male.

A rock-riding river otter was dining on a relatively large flatfish on
the south side of the power substation.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Canada Goose (2)
Bufflehead (3)
Common Goldeneye
Common Merganser (2)
Double-crested Cormorant (2)
Mew Gull (2)
Glaucous-winged Gull (21)
Rock Pigeon (71)
American Crow (5)
American Robin
European Starling (6)
House Finch (3)

May all your birds be identified,

Denis DeSilvis
