Did you happen to see that hawk at the Montlake Fill? Because that looks like the same bird I saw there yesterday afternoon. I was unsure of the ID myself, as it is a good-sized bird, but that is odd streaking and overall dark coloration. Perhaps just a dark-morph of an otherwise normal species seen around here, but I'd be curious what others think too.
