I went to the Residence Inn in Bothell yesterday, and went up on the dike and saw the Eurasian Green Winged Teal along with a (regular?) green-wing teal pair, in the water on that far side. I took 522 through Bothell, out Main St and then along 195th, and turned left at the Residence Inn. I went to the far end and parked in the back of the lot, and had no difficulty in getting onto the path that leads around the lake and then the path up onto the dike. I also found and identified my first snipe, which was very fun! I birded at Juanita Bay as well as the Log Boom park, and thoroughly enjoyed the day. I'll be filling out my Great Backyard Birding list online and sending it in. I hope others are doing the same and enjoying this great weather. Now I'm off for the Montlake Fill.
