As many of you are aware, there is an unprecedented
opportunity to see a large number of North American
rarities all currently residing within the southern
half of the state of Texas. Tantalizing species such
as Rufous-capped Warbler, Golden-crowned Warbler,
Gray-crowned Yellowthroat, Aplomado Falcon,
Streaked-backed Oriole, White-throated Robin,
White-collared Seedeater, Roadside Hawk,
Crimson-collared Grosbeak, Rose-throated Becard, etc.
are all possible target birds. On the remote
possibility that anyone might wish to join me (on
short notice) on a great Texas rarity chase
