I went to the Para Ponds to see if the geese are in, they are not. I did get into a flock of about 5500 "blackbirds" feeding along the rd on the ground west of the Para Ponds. There were 69 tricolors in the group. I spent alot of time getting into position to count the flock. They obliged by flying to me and the closest birds were only 20 yds away! I was able to see the entire flock and this is by far the best count for tricolors I have had.
