Hello All,

After observing the CAPE MAY WARBLER at Spokane yesterday, I birded my way
back across the state, stopping at Para Ponds where I also observed good
numbers of TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS. The flock was moving around some, but I
would estimate in the neighborhood of 25-40 birds.

Other highlights of yesterday besides the warbler and the blackbirds were
the approximately 17 PINE GROSBEAKS which Aaron Martin mentioned at Indian
Canyon Golf Course, Spokane. Many thanks to Gina Sheridan for her excellent
directions to this spot. I also had about 8 AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS on Road
B SE, just north of the junction with Lower Crab Creek Road, west of
Othello. Finally, I finished off with wonderful observations of the
GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES at dusk near Wanapum Dam.

Cheers and Good Birding,
Ted Kenefick
