While sorting through the thousands of Canada and Cackling Geese roosting
on Moses Lake I located a Swamp Sparrow at the bottom of Nelson Road here in
Moses Lake late yesterday afternoon. The bird was found in the bulrushes to
the north of the sewage lift station at the bottom of Nelson Road.
To get there take I-90 exit 179 and continue straight (do not cut off on
SR-17) until you get to Nelson Road. take a left on Nelson Road and continue
until the road ends. There will be a sewer lift station at the end of the
road with a small parking area to the right.
