12:05 start - water level mid - about slack tide (11:01 low tide - 6ft;
15:59 high tide 9.9ft) with most mudflats visible
12:34

(Late report) Yet another clear, sunny, and relatively warm day at
Turning Basin #3. Two fully adult BALD EAGLES circled overhead; SONG
SPARROWS and a BEWICK'S WREN tuned up; and the first BLACK-CAPPED
CHICKADEES of the year foraged in the butterfly bush nearby. A COMMON
GOLDENEYE, which looked like an immature male, dove near the Boeing
bridge. Tough to get a good look at it due to the lighting conditions -
glare on the river. (I didn't think I'd be having these conditions for
so many days at this time of the year!) Close to the restoration
peninsula, a harbor seal poked its head up through the water.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Canada Goose (4; in pairs)
Bufflehead (2)
Common Goldeneye
Common Merganser (4; 3 females, one male)
