Sightings for Sunday, February 20

The AMERICAN AVOCET was still present at the mouth of the
Serpentine River in Surrey, and 2 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GEESE were at nearby Serpentine Fen.

A GYRFALCON was seen at Sea Island, Richmond, in front of the
Air Canada hangar.

An EARED GREBE was off the White Rock Pier in White Rock,
and 3 CACKLING GEESE were with 2 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GEESE along 40th Avenue near Highway 99 in Surrey.

2 OSPREYS were reported at the mouth of the Seymour River in North
Vancouver.

Beach Grove in Delta had 3 singing HUTTON'S VIREOS, a GREAT
HORNED OWL and 4 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS.


Sightings for Saturday, February 19

The ROCK SANDPIPER continues at Berth One at the end of the
Tsawwassen ferry jetty in Delta.


Sightings for Friday, February 18

4 TREE SWALLOWS were seen over the Mud Bay dyke opposite
the golf course.

2 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were at 40th Avenue
on the west side of Highway 99 in Surrey.


Sightings for Thursday, February 17

5 SNOWY OWLS were at Brunswick Point in Delta, and an AMERICAN
KESTREL was seen along nearby 34B Street.

The Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Delta had the first reported TREE
SWALLOW and 50 COMMON REDPOLLS, as well as 2
MARBLED GODWITS.


Sightings for Wednesday, February 16

3 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were at Beach Grove in Delta.


Sightings for Tuesday, February 15

The PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER was again seen on the south jetty of
Iona Island near the pump house. 3 GRAY-CROWNED ROSY FINCHES
and 2 SNOW BUNTINGS were at the end of the jetty.


Sightings for Monday, February 14

A SWAMP SPARROW was seen at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary, and
the EARED GREBE was off the White Rock pier. A LONG-BILLED
CURLEW and a BARN SWALLOW were at Blackie Spit in Surrey.
