Sightings for Friday, February 25

A MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE is coming to a feeder at First Avenue
and Alma Street in Vancouver.


Sightings for Thursday, February 24

Flocks of COMMON REDPOLLS could still be found at the Reifel
Bird Sanctuary in Delta along with 3 TREE SWALLOWS, 7 BARN
SWALLOWS, 2 MARBLED GODWITS, 2 HUTTON'S VIREOS, and
a SWAMP SPARROW.


Sightings for Wednesday, February 23

A EURASIAN WIGEON was off the south jetty of Iona Island.


Sightings for Tuesday, February 22

A NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL was at the Maplewood Conservation
Area in North Vancouver and another NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL
was along the road up Mount Seymour, between the salt shed
and the radio tower.


Sightings for Monday, February 21

A NORTHERN SHRIKE was at the east end of Surrey Lake, on
152nd Street north of 72nd Avenue in Surrey.


Sightings for Sunday, February 20

The AMERICAN AVOCET was still present at the mouth of the
Serpentine River in Surrey, and 2 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GEESE were at nearby Serpentine Fen.

A GYRFALCON was seen at Sea Island, Richmond, in front of the
Air Canada hangar.

An EARED GREBE was off the White Rock Pier, and 3 CACKLING
GEESE were with 2 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE along
40th Avenue west of Highway 99 in Surrey.

Two OSPREYS were reported from the mouth of the Seymour River
in North Vancouver.

Beach Grove Park in Delta had 3 singing HUTTON'S VIREOS,
a GREAT HORNED OWL, and 4 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS.


Sightings for Saturday, February 19

The ROCK SANDPIPER continues at Berth One at the end of the
Tsawwassen ferry jetty in Delta.


Sightings for Friday, February 18

In Delta, 4 AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS were seen along the
Boundary Bay dyke, 200 metres east of 72nd Street. (This sighting
was erroneously reported earlier as a TREE SWALLOW from Mud
Bay-- my mistake, W.W.)

2 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were at 40th Avenue on
the west side of Highway 99 in Surrey.
