Well, House Finches probably wouldn't suffer so many contagious diseases if
they weren't concentrated at feeders. On the other hand, it's highly
unlikely they would have exploded beyond their original range of streams in
the southwest if it weren't for feeders.

I don't really understand how Cornell is contributing to the problem any
more than any other group that condones, or fails to speak against, feeders.
Even if they did, what good would it do? People love to feed birds and it
seems virtually impossible to persuade them not to do it.
