Dear tweeters,

This year, we've been delighted to get over a dozen goldfinches and some
mixed feeding flocks with Pine Siskins at our feeder. The housefinches are
just beginning to return.

Is the eye disease contaminant passed in the niger seed or the feeders? Or
perhaps the birds pass it on contact when they gather?

Is it sufficient to clean the feeders with bleach solution weekly?

Thanks
Henry
