I recently posted a question as to the species of rodent that the pygmy-owl
had caught in the photo on the website listed below.

I had several responses.

Did not know what the critter was but responded
Dusky-footed Wood-rat (2?)
Western Pocket Golpher (1)
vole species (2)
Long-tailed Meadow Vole (1)
Dusky Tree Mouse (1)
Townsend's Vole (2) One from retired biology researcher

There was no conclusion but some were sure of there ID of the critter. Any
more experts out there that want to give it a stab? The photo was taken in
east Vancouer area where there are plenty of fields and but this was at the
forest edge with some scattered trees before that. There is water around but
at the exact location.
