Kathy Andrich's sightings between Sakuma Point and the U bridge have inspired me to get out of my office a little bit too. Yesterday about this time I found two male mergansers, one Common and one Red-Breasted, along with female mergansers whom I'm not skillful enough to ID yet. But the males are more fun to look at anyway :-) At least two of the Redheads were also there.

The Sakuma Viewpoint is just south of the UWPD on this map; it's at the south end of Brooklyn Ave NE.
