Viewed the Tufted Duck today between 11-12 AM on the North East corner of
Phantom Lake.
There is a small park on the north shore there which made viewing possible
since it was too
far away from the viewing platform on the south end. The duck was together
with 2 Ring Necks,
which made for good comparisons and some Buffleheads, and was seen by about
7 people.
To reach the park:
At the intersection of 156th Ave and 16th St.,
go east on 16th (which becomes Phantom Way then becomes 14th St.)
go right on 166th Ave and then the second right on 16th St.
This is a dead end at a cul de sac where you can park with the public access
park on the left
which affords views of the north end of the lake.
Another possible viewing location is 163rd place off of Phantom Way,
another cul de sac dead end with a narrow public access between 2 houses.
