Hi, I personally use Thayer's software, and like it very much. Their
new version coming out in Feb. will have quite a few improvements,
including using Clement's list (among others). They are affiliated with
Cornell also.
I've tried a couple of other programs but didn't care for their
reporting and other features, although admittedly I havent tried them
lately. Thayer's webpage is www.thayerbirding.com.
I'd be interested in other folk's experience.

I am just back from a wondrous trip to Peru. I saw lots and lots of
birds. So I have a zip lock bag full of notes and I don't want to
continue, what has been my practice--just putting them on a shelf to be
lost or forgotten. So I am looking for some software which would allow
me to organize them. I would want world wide coverage, and the capacity
for putting in at least brief notes. I don't know anything about how
