Hi, As some of us were leaving after seeing the Baikal Teal, A guy drove
up and requested that we pass the word NOT to park beside the building
with the blue roof trim, but instead to drive to the next street to the
west and look for street parking there. He said they were having
problems with vandalism.

By the way the Teal was great, but a little earlier the Phantom Lake
Tufted Duck remained a phantom. No Luck there.

Hello All,

The Baikal Teal was re-located by Michael Hobbs, myself and others
between 12:45 and 1:30 this afternoon at the Green River Natural
Resources Area (Kent Ponds). If you park at the building with the blue
roof trim on S 226th, walk out to the Power Line paved pathway and turn
right to scan the channel which heads north, which is between the Grassy

Knoll and the SE viewing tower. The bird was resting, preening and
feeding on the left side of this channel. The bird is somewhat easy to
locate by looking for it's buff-yellow face and green white and black
bridle (assuming it's not in the vegetation or asleep). The lightly
spotted pinkish chest, grey sides, white fore stripe (on side of chest
like a Green-winged Teal) and white stripe before the black vent area,
and long sickle-shaped black and light cream scapulars were very
diagnostic.

Other birds of note: Eurasian Wigeon, American Bittern and Peregrine
Falcon.

Good luck to those who search for this beauty.
