no one should have to stand for that kind of assinine abuse. what i don't
understand is why other birders who noticed this didn't stand up to her...
this is the second complaint i've seen today on tweeters...

stand up to the loony (no pun intended)... if she's that well known, she
should be shamed into staying home...

Subject: [Tweeters] Redwing incident

Hey Washington birders,

Without naming names, all BC birders are shocked and dismayed to learn of
an ugly incident by an unstable ?birder? at the Redwing location in Olympia.
In short, today (13th) a European-accented birder harshly berated three
British Columbia birders and even nearly assaulted one of them for no
reason; other than she must have seen their BC licence plate this ?attack?
was completely unprovoked. First, they were told they could not stand where
they were standing to look at the Redwing (public sidewalk), and then told
the Canadians to go home and that they were not welcome in this country?!?
What the ?? The Canadians wisely decided to just back and drive away (they
had earlier just enjoyed views of the Redwing). It was so bizarre and almost
amusing, but also very unnerving!

All three birders agreed that this Washington woman must be mentally
unstable and must have missed her med?s today (but I have seen similar
actions from her in the past in Vancouver). We know her name, but I will not
publish it here and inflame matters (or the birders involved). In short,
Canadian birders are urged caution when visiting this location to avoid an
altercation.

Can Washington birders draw any light on this? Are we really not welcome
now, or is this just an isolated incident?!

There is a very bizarre person out there who needs to be locked up! Bad
show.
