Subject: [Tweeters] Redwing incident

The Screamer that so rudely confronted our neighbors from the north, was she
the Horned Screamer - Anhima cornuta , the Northern Screamer - Chauna
chavaria or the Southern Screamer - Chauna torquata?
In any case the sighting should be posted on various lists as she is quite
far from her home range. It would also seem appropriate to post photos of
her on the web so that those of us who don't have the pleasure of being able
to see her in the field can at least see her photo. One person suggested
that that the bird in question was actually Gavia immer, in which case,
though not so rare, a photo of a Gavia that could be confused with an Anhima
or a Chauna would still be in order.
