I've got to find the spot you are talking about, this "Sakuma" viewpoint. I am all over the UW but don't know that spot. A gentleman told me approximately where it is today though, so hopefully, I can get the Redheads this weekend.

I did bird the area near the stadium and around to the Fill. Got 41 species including that immature Northern Shrike someone mentioned yesterday. Also picked up my first Pintails and Golden-crowned Sparrows of the year. Been getting Common Snipe on the Fill the last 3 times and saw a rooster Pheasant at the end of the afternoon. Only other items of interest was a flock of 14 Killdeer that flew over, and a Cooper's Hawk. A 41 species day brings my Montlake Fill species count for 2005 to 46 now. Shooting for at least 90 for the year, off to a good start. Single best day ever at the Fill for me: 62 species. Great urban birdwatching spot. Cheers!

around. No cooperative Orange-crowned Warbler for her
though. They are toughies and one of last common area
birds for me to get a good enough look at to say, yeah
that is what it really is.
