Hello, I have placed pictures of Kent's Baikal Teal on Surfbirds.com. They
can be viewed at the following address:

The bird made at least two appearances today (14 Jan); one at approximately
11:30am for 5 minutes or so and one around 1:30pm for perhaps 15 minutes.
Though rather distant, the bird showed brilliantly in the sunshine. Today's
recipe for success seemed to be to wait and watch the long central narrow
waterway that runs north to south (I believe) away from the powerline trail.
It is roughly halfway between the observation platform and the grassy knoll.
About halfway down this waterway on the left side is a large tree stump
along the shore; the bird seemed to like hiding away in the waters that lead
behind the stump and out of sight. While it was out and about foraging it
made a wide circuit, visiting the shores directly opposite this in the
direction of the grassy knoll.
Regardless of its origins, it is truly a gorgeous bird!
