The word "towhee," as far as I know, does not refer to the song of the
Eastern Towhee (which indeed sounds like "drink your teeeee," very
different from the buzz of the Spotted Towhee) but instead refers to
the *call*, which Peterson described as "chewink" but has also been
describing as sounding like "towee."
