A SNOWY OWL was east of Mansfield, Douglas Co WA on 12 Jan according to
Meredith Spencer and Richard Hendrick. The bird was 0.25 mile west of
milepost 34 along WA 172. WA DeLorme 84, B-3.

Bob Flores spotted a flock of 12 AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS were spotted on 12
Jan along Corfu Road where it crosses Crab Creek, Adams Co WA. This is west
of Othello and a couple of miles south of WA 26. WA DeLorme 53, B-5.

On 16 Jan I saw the NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL in the same blue spruce roost tree
in Spalding Park, Nez Perce Co ID. This spruce is back toward the river near
the old Spalding house. To get to Spalding Park, head east from Lewiston on
US 95 toward Lapwai. Just after crossing the river, turn left into the Nez
Perce historical site and immediately turn right, heading down hill toward
the picnic area. At the stop sign, turn left and follow the road over the
bridge to the grove of trees / cemetery / picnic area. ID DeLorme 54, A-1.5.

Good birding!
