Subject: [Tweeters] Kent Ponds on Sunday--Did anyone see...?

This question is for anyone who birded the Kent Ponds on Sunday. On the
pond closest to 64th Ave. (and about 225th) I saw a gorgeous duck with a
deep purple head, black back and silvery gray sides. When I got home, I
began to research it and determined that it was a Ring-Necked Duck.
Then I learned that it is often confused with the Lesser Scaup, although
I still think what I saw was the Ring-Necked Duck. My question is,
therefore, did anyone else among the myriad birders there that morning
happen to see a Ring-Necked Duck? I am not sure if I trust myself to
have identified it correctly yet as I am trying to learn water birds.

I also saw:

Baikal Teal!!!!!
Pair of Trumpeter Swans!!!
Pair of Bald Eagles
Great Blue Heron
Hooded Merganser
Golden-crowned Sparrow
Marsh Wren

It was a great birding day.
