Brett, I could look up a few locations that I know are good for certain birds at certain times, but really your best solution is to buy a copy of Bill Pranty's A Birder's Guide to Florida, in the ABA/Lane Birdfinding series. Easily obtained from ABA Sales. It has all the details you could want.

Hey gang, I know that Lake Okeechobee (sp?) and the Everglades are both close to Ft. Lauderdale. I am planning a trip there in late February and was wondering if anyone knows of any particular locals to do some birding while there. Just saying the Everglades doesn't say much, because there are surely some places to go in the area better suited to birding access than others. And if you know anyone in the area who would be willing to direct me to some favored spots and what to expect, please feel free to forward my e-mail to them. Thanks!
