I rode my bike to Woodinville today, stopping at Log Boom Park in Kenmore. I walked on the pier and saw hundreds of coots, about 30 western grebes, one canvasback, common mergansers, gadwalls, greater scaup, cormorants, and mallards. At Bothell Landing I was startled to find about 8 or more chickens and roosters on the trail and on a picnic table; one of the roosters was calling loudly from the picnic table around 3:30 pm.
