Hi--

Bryan LaComa asked about banded crows at Montlake fill.

<<Also of note were 2 banded Crows. One had an orange band on its right
leg, and its partner had a white band also on its right leg. Is this
common? Any ideas why Crows are being banded and who is doing it?>>

There's a study of crows going on at the UW by a graduate student named
John Withey. My husband and I took a class from him that was very
interesting. You can report sightings of banded crows at his website at
http://courses.washington.edu/vseminar/survey.htm.

What time were you at Montlake Fill? We went there about 9:30 yesterday
and saw a tenth of what you saw! I'd be interested in knowing your route.
