Subject: [Tweeters] Teal in Bothell

I found the Eurasian Green-Winged Teal on the pond behind the Residence Inn
in Bothell again this morning.

It was easy to find, but it is possible to go astray. When I mapped it last
night, I was directed to the wrong NE 195th, off of 522. The correct one is
off the exit on 405. Go east from 405, cross North Creek Parkway (I think
it is), and make a left at the next light where you see the Residence Inn on
your left.

When you get there, check the rill that runs between the pond and NE 195th.
I got there when it was still dim, and I didn't even see the teals that were
right in front of me. I spooked them, and was mortified to think that I
might have scared them off entirely, but they did the right thing and just
moved over to the pond. Terrific views ensued -- there wasn't even any
point in trying to set up my scope, because the bird was right in front of
where I stood on the path.
