Yesterday, Bill Kaufman and I went up to the upper Skagit, just casually
looking for eagles, etc. From Arlington to the Suak River we saw 3, along
the Suak there were 15, at the first Skagit stop there were 18, at the
second Skagit stop were 13, and around Marblemount were 3, a total of 52.
There wasn't a lot of variety otherwise, small groups of trumpeter swans
along I-5, but not a lot else of note. Weather was great and the viewing
along the rivers was excellent.
