THE BUTTERFLIES OF CASCADIA by Bob Pyle is clearly the best for the
Washington/Oregon area. An excellent website is:
http://www.npwrc.usgs.gov/resource/distr/lepid/bflyusa/bflyusa.htm Another
is http://www.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/intro.html with both butterflies
and plants of the world, but the webmaster in Finland, Markku Savela, spent
a good amount of time in this area taking pictures and quite a few of our
butterflies and many of their host plants are on his site.
