Hello Tweets and other birders,

The Redwing at Olympia(Washington State)was not relocated today as of 1:30pm with efforts made from several locations beginning at around 8am by up to 5 birders. The main area that hosted activity was along Percival Street between Garfield and Harrison Avenues with up to 30 Am.Robins noted throughout the morning, then slowing off after 11am. This is near the same location than the Colorado birder observed the Redwing yesterday morning,so there is still hope that the bird could still be in the area with more searching. Am.Robins were also noted along Foote Street just south of Garfield Ave.,as well as alleyways between Rogers and Percival Streets. We also checked by walking and driving several of the side streets, etc at previous locations that hosted the Redwing in the past, but bird activity remained very slow at those locations. Additional searching was made in the Historical District just south of the State Capitol grounds and if nothing else was neat to see all the historical homes in that area.

A few species of interest encountered today during our searching included the following:

1 Sharp-shinned Hawk
1 Red-breasted Sapsucker
7-8 Western Scrub Jays
1 adult White-throated Sparrow(presumably same individual with Golden-crowned Sparrows near same location than noted in past reports)
5 Red Crossbills

Good Redwing searching for those still looking or wish to know about updates!
