Over the past two weeks a green collared trumpeter, 0H5, has been in the
upper Snohomish River valley and the Snoqualmie River valley (after the
flood). He was banded in Dec. 1993 at Harriman State Park in Idaho, moved
to Summer Lake, OR where he has been seen in the general area over the years
with the last sighting there March 2003. He was first seen in the
Snohomish area around SR9 and Marshland Road area on Jan. 10, and again in
the Snoqualmie Valley on Jan. 24.
If anyone out there spots him again the rest of this season please let
me know. This bird provided good information on how birds from one
population, Rocky Mountain Population, have moved into another, Pacific
Coast Population.
