HI:
I have been reading: " On her own terms" by Barbara R. Stein. It is about Annie Montague Alexander was a naturalist who went on to found the museums of vertebrate zoology and paleontology at UC Berkeley. On page 146 she is quoted about an unique Aplodontia control method: "have taken some large trout in the lake but our main meat diet is Aplodontia-have tried it fricassee, broiled, stewed, and as soup."
Now if we could find a recipe for fried starling!
