Subject: [Tweeters] Grant County Ross's Goose

This morning, (1/31/05) I visited Neppel Landing Park in Moses Lake in
hopes of seeing Doug Schonewald's Ross's Goose. At 8:00AM the fog was too
think to see much. By 10:30 I was able to see pretty well. I didn't find
the goose. There were 4 adult TUNDRA SWANS, seen at close range. There
were also 16 swans resting on the ice that I could not ID. They were at a
distance and had their heads tucked. I checked a couple other locations
that Doug showed me, but no luck with the goose.

So I headed down to Othello to look at blackbirds. Near Para Ponds was a
huge flock of them, including quite a few TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS. Before I
could check the flock for a rusty, a PRAIRIE FALCON flew in and out of
sight went the blackbirds.

> At the present time there are good numbers of waterfowl at Neppel Landing

to

> Neppel Landing Park can be accessed from either Dogwood (a dead-end
street)

have

often
