Absolutely, and the Montlake Fill is where. I have seen all three species there - nutria, beaver and muskrat. I have frequently observed beavers tail slapping on the water - makes a loud, pretty unmistakeable sound. I usually see them on the Union Bay side, I guess that would be the east side of the Fill, and fairly close into shore - good looks.

In recent years past, I have seen beavers on the Arboretum side of the lake too. None yet this year, but maybe someone else has. I'd bet there are beavers around Seward Park also, if not anywhere else.
