we have four beavers in juanita bay, two adults, two juveniles... they
should start being seen sometime in the next two months, just prior to (and
during the initial) water lily bloom... best time to see them is about 1
hour before dusk until mid-summer...

I apologize in advance if this is considered
off-topic...

Every once in a while I hear about someone seeing a
beaver or beaver signs in the Montlake Fill or
elsewhere around Seattle. But whenever I get a good
look at big furry critter in the water, it always
turns out to be a nutria. Furthermore, I think I read
somewhere that nutria sometimes chew on trees. I have
never seen a beaver, and I would like to see one.
Plus, it is a rather charming thought that beavers
could be alive and well in the midst of civilization.
But is it true? Does anyone have good solid
information there are beavers in Seattle?
