Of the 3 Eagles nests I checked under a few winters ago along with various
fish and duck remains there were the remains of about 3 crows under each of
the 3 nests. I didn't know if any of the eagles had been found dead by the
eagles, but a participant on my eagle walk at Seward Park in Seattle the
other day said he saw an eagle with a live crow in it's talons so the eagles
must be among those who eat crow and theoretically may help control the crow
population also, though I imagine food supply may be their limiting factor.
I don't know whether or not it has anything to do with these eagles
insisting they're right and then being proven quite wrong. I know in the
case of the Barred Owls they keep telling me that someone by the name of
"Who" cooks for me and let them know that they are wrong and instead that
"Who" cooks for them. I repeat this 4 times, but they still don't believe
me and the repeatedly insist again that "Who" cooks for me. I don't know if
this has anything to do with their corvid consumption either.

Of the four Barred Owl nests I climbed this spring, all contained crow
feathers. Crows are a favorite food source for Barred Owls.
